Dreams in my Lap: poems

400.00

Dreams in my Lap creates a synergic space for aesthetics and dissent to dream about safe and equitable territories for all tribes. With some off-the-wall syntactic constructions, the poems anticipate emotions recollected at the brittle moments of experiencing unjust and oppression. The lyrical vignettes are cadenced at the nook and corner on the kaleidoscopic spectrum: from political to personal to delicate buds of hope, awakening, desire, and unbeknownst longing. These experiences usually resonate with rhythmic rise and fall inside the heart chambers and are incessantly preserved. The unrestrained emotions have picked up bones with constrictive brooks of the poetic forms and therefore assume multiple poetic embodiments, from free-verse to haiku and haibun. Creating a wholesome poetic experience, at each turn of the reading, politics mutate into personal and vice-versa.
